Crunchy Ensaladang Pipino . I have to post this, I know this salad is down to earth easy to prepare any one can make it.  Ensaladang pipino  is one of the favorite of most vegetable loving Ilokanos. It is usually served as starters or pampagana, it is also served as pulutan. Personally I want my pepino crunchy contrary to most of the  ensaladang pipino recipe  that I have seen in the net, were the sliced cucumbers are let to soak in vinegar and left in the refrigerator to chill. With this preparation method the cucumber slices will become soft saggy and lumpy by the time it is chilled, most of the water from the cucumber slices would have also rendered. Crispy Liempo, Deep Fried Pork Belly Strips . To those who are not familiar Kanin Club , it is a popular trendy restaurant that served Pinoy Food . They have several branches the more popular ones are their Wesgate, Alabang, Muntinlupa and Paseo de Sta. Rosa, Laguna Branches. One of the best sellers of Kanin Club is their Crispy Liempo served as starters. It is made up of thin slices of pork liempo, crispy fried and served with vinegar dip. Today I want to share my version of Crispy Liempo , I really do not know how Kanin Club prepare and cook their Crispy Liempo so I have to start from scratch and cook with instinct to try to recreate the dish at home. One of the challenge was how to slice the pork belly to about 2 to 3 mm thick, not unless you have a ham slicer at home then that would solve the problem. Shrimp Cocktail . Have you wonder if you could also make those shrimp cocktails served as an appetizer at fancy restaurants? There is actually no special about the way it is made except perhaps the way it is served, they are usually served in glasses where the shrimps are intricately arrange around the edges of the serving glasses. Today I would like to share a simple shrimp cocktail that can be prepared by anybody. The sauce is just made up of ordinary mixture of tomato ketchup, sweet chili sauce or ketchup, mayonnaise and some lemon juice and some herbs if you have them.
