Pinoy Pineapple Fiesta Ham Spaghetti. Should you have some left over pineapple fiesta ham last Christmas and looking for a dish for the coming New Year’s celebrations, here is a spaghetti recipe to recycle those left over ham for New Year’s Media Noche. One of our non-Filipino Facebook friends has commented our version, the Pinoy version of spaghetti taste like candy.

The Pinoy spaghetti really do taste like candy, it is sweet with little sourness and hotness. Today’s Pinoy Pineapple Fiesta Ham Spaghetti will also taste like candy that’s what most Pinoy wanted especially the children’s.

Fiesta Ham Spaghetti

Cooking the dish is very simple any newbie cook can make it and can never go wrong. Cooking just involved the basic Pinoy sautéing of the aromatic ingredients then the usual adding of sauces.

Pinoy Pineapple Fiesta Ham Spaghetti - Cooking Procedure

Here is the recipe of my Pinoy Pineapple Fiesta Ham Spaghetti.

Ingredients:

1 kilo spaghetti noodles, cooked as per package instructions
1/2 kilo Fiesta Ham, cut into slices then cut into squares
6-8 pcs. Pinoy cheese hotdog, cut into thin slices
1 large can (500g) pineapple slices in heavy syrup, cut into small wedges, reserved syrup
1 large can sliced button mushrooms, drained
1/2 block cheddar cheese, grated
1 large packet Pinoy sweet style spaghetti sauce
1/2 cup sweet chili sauce
1-2 tbsp. chili garlic in oil
1/2 head garlic, peeled, chopped
3 medium size onion, chopped
1/2 cup cornstarch
salt and pepper
cooking oil

Cooking procedure:


In a large sauce pan sauté garlic and onion until fragrant. Add in the fiesta ham and stir cook for 3 to 5 minutes. Add in the hotdog and button mushroom and continue to stir cook for 2 to 3 minutes. Now add in the pineapple syrup, spaghetti sauce, sweet chili sauce, chili garlic in oil and about 2 cups of water, bring to a boil and simmer for 3 to 5 minutes stirring occasionally. Add in the hotdogs, pineapple and grated cheddar cheese and continue to simmer for 5 to 8 minutes. Correct saltiness if required, season with pepper. Thicken sauce with cornstarch diluted in 1/3 cup of water, cook for another minute or until the sauce thickens. Pour sauce over a platter of spaghetti noodles with grated cheddar cheese garnish.
