Buko Salad

Buko Salad Recipe
Buko Salad. I wanted a pure buko salad with out any sweetened fruit or any other ingredients added, but I was persuaded that buko salads are better if the other usual ingredients are added including the diced buttermilk cheese. I still call this sweet dessert buko salad even though a can of fruit cocktail, kaong, nata de coco and canned sweet corn was added and of course the diced buttermilk cheese. I kept the other ingredients at minimum compared to the usual buko fruit salad.
Buko Salad

What ever version I love buko and or fruit salads so with most Pinoys.

  1. yummy! since, I lived in california and had no fresh buko, whats the best buko alternative I can use? I know, the one in the can is sweet and the one in the frozen section had no taste at all. any suggestion?

  2. To anonymous, I did tried to use the canned buko meat, the meats come in big triangles so I cut them into smaller pieces, they are little bit sweetened but it did come alright. I have not yet seen the frozen buko, I think it could do as well it. I once tasted buko salad made up of sweetened makapuno in bottles but they are to sweet

  3. Thanks ut-man. I will try to use it next time. Yours just look so good.

  4. what i love with buko salad is the creaminess of the milk, yum yum yum
